Cape Cod Polishing Cloth
One of the Most Popular Metal Polishes Among Watch Collectors
There has been a lot of clamor on the watch forums about the "Cape Cod Cloth"; unfortunately much of it is simply incorrect. The Cape Cod Cloth does not remove layers of metal as I have seen stated in many blog postings; it is a nonabrasive petroleum distillate based metal polish. The pink applicator cloths in the pouch are saturated with the polish and they are not abrasive either, they are simply an applicator used to apply the polish.
Very fine scratches on highly polished surfaces seem to disappear because contaminants are removed and the metals light reflectivity is greatly increased (similar to waxing your car). The Cape Cod Cloth removes tarnish, grime, and other contaminants from metal and produces an amazing shine!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention these have a "Pleasant Vanilla Fragrance" so you won't have a petroleum smell lingering about. I recommend the CCC as a final polishing step to produce unmatched brilliance and added protection from contaminants which helps the shine last! The resealable foil pouch contains two polish saturated 4" x 6" felt-like applicators.
